This caused Lord Shiva's throat to turn blue and thus the name Neelkanth.
Kunjapuri temple:
This temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. This temple is also consider by Shakthipeeth. It is believed that Lord Shiva approved all the way through this place on his manner to go back to Kailash with the corpse of Sati whose dead body part cut down at the spot where the temple of Kunja puri stands.
Bharat Mandir:
Bharat mandir is situated at half a kilometer away from Triveni ghat in the heart of the city.This temple is dedicated to Baharat, younger brother of Lord Rama. Many devotees visit this temple seeking blessings each year.
Shri Trimbakeshwar temple:
The abode of the ' three eyed lord', Shri Trimbakeshwar temple is set overlooking the majestic Himalayas. This ancient temple is very beautiful with its historical facts and carvings around the temple. It is an ideal place for both pilgrims and history buffs.
Swarg Niwas temple:
This temple is brilliantly architectured with each floor enshrined with different Hindu deities. The temple is coated with orange, sacred color of Hinduism. The top of the tower offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the Ganges and Rishikesh valley.
