Sri Chidambara Swamigal Jeeva Samadhi | Thiruporur Sri Chidambaram Swamigal Samadhi | Jeeva Samadhi In Chennai

Sri Chidambara Swamigal & Lord Kandhaswamy:

When Chidambara Swamigal was in meditation he saw a glimpse of peacock feathers. To know the meaning of this vision, he explained his scene to his guru and his guru directed him to visit Madurai Meenakshi Amman for the answers. Chidambara Swamigal immediately started his journey and after 45 days of pooja to Goddess, Meenakshi Amman presented herself and answered by saying to start the revamping of the Murugan Temple in Thiruporur. As ordered, Swamigal began his journey. After reaching Thiruporur, he offered his prayer to Vembadi Vinayagar as it is believed that to start any good deeds, his blessings are added value. Swamigal started searching for the Murugan Idol as those are the times, Thiruporur used to look like a dense forest where the searching was too risky and tough. But one day to his divinity, he saw the Idol of women having Vel in her hand. After seeing this, Swamigal started his work on expanding this to the temple. But he was a bit afraid as there were no funds to rebuild the temple. To his surprise, the thieves who engaged in theft with Swamigal lost their eyesight. Realizing their mistake, they asked Swamigal for solace. Chidambara Swamigal asked them to offer their stolen things to contribute to the construction of the Temple. As advised, the time when they donated their belongings, the group got their vision back. On seeing this extreme power, they volunteered themselves in the building of this temple.

Also when Lord Murugan disguised himself as Guru of Chidambara Swamigal and came to meet him, Chidambara Swamigal narrated the so far happened things and his progress on building the temple. when he kept his hand on the forehead of Swamigal with Thiruneer, Swamigal got the vision of how the temple was previously and he got the complete design. With the great confusion of how this happened, on seeing his guru, his guru walked towards the idol and vanished thereby. Then Swamigal realized Murugan himself appeared as his guru and from then on, the work for the temple started furiously. As days passed by, people started to address him as Thiruporur Chidambara Swamigal.
