Saint Arunagirinathar was one of the world renowned sages lived in Tamil nadu during 15th century. He was born in Tiruvannamalai. He was an ardent devotee of the ever merciful Lord Muruga. He has composed various songs, hymns and poems in the praise of the Lord. Thirupugazh composed by him is used in all Lord Murugan temples and sanctums as an important aspect of pleasing and thanking the Lord.
