Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple is a Hindu temple in the town of Fadum, three kilometers from Diu in the Indian state of Gujarat. The name of this temple indicates that it is dedicated to Lord Shiva. The Shiva Linga placed in this temple is thought to date back to the Mahabharata period and was created by the Pandavas. Of Shree Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple
According to
legend, while the Pandavas were exiled from the kingdom of Hastinapur for 12
years, they worshipped Lord Shiva, who was present in this temple. Because it
is located near the coastline, this temple is also known as the 'Seashore
Temple.' When the Pandavas visited this location during their exile in search
of a place to pray before eating, they built five Shivalingas along the edge of
the pond and thought it to be the real form of Lord Shiva.
