Kapaleeswarar Temple Mylapore

This is one the most most famous Lord Shiva temple in Chennai and also one of the major tourist attraction of Mylapore. The temple's pond is such a beautiful site to watch. Mundakanni Amman Temple Mylapore

Goddess Mundakanni Amman is said to be a form of Lord Saraswathi who graces people who want to excel in fine arts. Amman(Shakti) is also know to relieve people from "Naaga Dosham". It is believed this temple is the residing place of snake Anthil,l and still worships Amman everyday. As the temple is located in the heart of Mylapore lot of buses and autos are available to this temple.


Madhava Perumal Temple Mylapore

Madhava Perumal Temple is locate din Madhavapuram area of Mylapore. This temple is located very close to Mundakanni Amman Temple. When sage Vyasa asked Lord where he could do penance, Lord pointed to this place, where sage Bhrigu had setup a hermitage before. The pond of the temple is also of a major attraction.


Adhikesava Perumal Temple

This is the birth place of Pey Alwar one of the famous saint, one of the first three Azhwars.  He did the duty of garlanding Lord Vishnu every day and was preached by goddess Lakshmi. Tirumalisai Alwar adopted him as guru and listened to his upadesams (Preachings) every day. Anjaneya Temple Luz Corner Mylapore

One of the fmous temples in the city if Chennai dedicated to lord Hanuman. It was constructed by Salivahana Chettiars who migrated to Chennai from Mysore. Nawab of Carnatic granted land to them to build two Lord Vinayagar temples. When they were digging the land they found an idol of Lord Hanuman. As a result they built a Lord Hanuman temple.
