Nartahmalai is a cluster of hills located in the  Pudukkottai District is 25 Kilometers away from the nearest major city Trichy.

Narthamalai Name Reason

Narthamalai is probably believed to be derived from the word Nagarattar Malai / Nagarattar Malai. This is believed as per the Chola's inscription which states that a Nagarathar sold his land for the daily worship in this cave.

This temple is located at about 18 kilometers of distance form the district head quarters Pudhukottai and 10 Kilometers from the taluk Annavasal.

Trichy international airport is the nearest airport from where you can get buses to Pudhukottai or Annavasal.
