Lord Kuberar:
Lord Kuberar well known god to everyone as he blesses wealth and prosperity.Lord Kuberar is the grandson of creator Brahma. Ravana is the son of his step mother.Original king of Lanka was Kubera.Later, Ravana took over the kingdom from Kubera. Kubera's aircraft,the Pushpaka would spill precious stones at all places while in flight.It is said that Ravana faced many problems only after exit of Kubera.
History:
Kubera, the leader of 'Yatchas'. Yatchas are there to help mankind and procure wealth.Kubera one of the Yatchas very much devotted to Lord Shiva.Kubera performed severe penance and invoked the blessings of Lord Shiva.Lord Shiva gave dharshan to Kubera with Goddess Parvathi. Kubera stunned to see the beauty of Goddess Parvathi.One of his eyes winked.Goddess Parvathi got angry with Kubera that he was seeing her with evil intention.Goddess Parvathi made his eye burst.Kubera lost his one of his sight and refused to forgive him.Lord Shiva told Goddess Parvathi to forgive him.Agreeing Lord Shiva's request Goddess Parvathi forgave Kubera and let one of the eyes grow smaller.Hence,one of the eye of Kubera is smaller than the other.As a result of his penannce,Lord Shiva rewarded him as a head of Northern direction.Goddess made him as the Lord of wealth and materials.He is not the originator but has the responsibility to distribute above two things properly.Creating wealth and prosperity is by the divine mother Goddess Lakshmi.
Sri Lakshmi Kuberar:
Sri Lakshmi Kuberar temple in Rathnamangalam is the only temple in India dedicated to worship Lakshmi Kubera.The moolavar of the temple is Lakshmi Kuberar.Mahalakshmi is the goddess for wealth.Kubera puja is performed to have stable wealth.Worshiping both Sri Mahalakshmi and Kubera ensures all prosperity to the devotees.It is advised to visit and worship in the temple before the pilgrimage to Tirupathi which would yield double benefit.Lord Kubera appears with Sanganidhi pot in the left hand and Padmanidhi pot in right hand,gracing along with the Mother Mahalakshmi and his consort Sitharini.By chanting his name again and again prosperous life will result.The temple has shrines of Lakshmi Ganapathy,Kuberalingam,Selvamuthukumaran,Yoga Anjaneya and Navagrahas.
