Lord Murugan:
Lord Murugan, the Tamil kadavul is known for his beauty, youth, knowledge and power. Lord Murugan has six faces naming Arumugam. He is graced with the divine spear (vel) in hand and sits on the Peacock. But, other than peacock Lord Murugan graces on goat, elephant, horse, lion, parrot, snake, fish in some of the sthalas. This is very much interesting to see Lord Murugan on other Vehicles which is not common.
- In temples of Chidambaram, Rathnagiri, Maharali, Vellore, Tirutani, Thiruparangundram, Pranmalai and Chettikulam Lord Murugan gracing on Elephant can be seen which is unique.
- In Thiruporur temple, in the prahara Lord Murugan graces on goat, parrot and lion which are remarkable.
- In Thiruparangundram temple, below the moolavar Lord Murugan goat, peacock, elephant and cock vahana's can be identified.
- In Kayilaimalai, Lord Murugan graces with cock in hand.
- In Kanagagiri, Lord Murugan showers blessings to his devotees with parrot in his hand which makes the remembrance about Meenatchi Amman in Madurai.
- At Marungoor Sthalam, Lord Murugan graces on goat.
- In Kangaeyam Ayyappan temple, Lord Murugan stands on Fish which is very beautiful to watch.
- At Aavoor temple, Lord Murugan has Lotus flower in hand.
- In the sthala called Thinniyam at Trichy district, Lord Murugan and his consorts Valli and Deivanai appears on peacock individually is a magical feeling to watch.
