Anandha Vinayagar Alayam
Ananda Vinayagar Temple, otherwise called Madhya Kailash, is situated at Vallabhai Patel Road, in Adyar, close to Chennai. The temple cherishes Venkatesa Ananda Vinayagar as the directing deity. The icon of the sanctuary is a one-of-a-kind blend of the Vinayaka and Anjaneya. The icon starts with Vinayaka (Lord Ganesh) and winds up with Anjaneya Lord Hanuman.
There are other deities that can be found around the altars. They are Adhyantha Prabhu, Anjaneya, Surya, Lord Shiva, Navagrahas, Brahma, Mahavishnu, Durga, Goddess Parvathi, Lord Muruga, and Swarna Bhairava.
Adhyantha Prabhu implies The Lord who has neither beginning nor end. According to Puranas, Hanuman is Chiranjeevi, and being a child of Shiva and Parvati, Ganesha was born twice. This Unique temple holds the divinity of Half Ganesha and Half Hanuman, one among the forms of Rudra.
The Uniqueness of Ananda Vinayagar Temple
The Adhyantha Prabhu Idol in this temple is especially the most unique significance. The right 50% of the icon is that of Lord Ganesha and the left is that of Lord Hanuman that features around 5 feet.
There are 8 bells that are found in this temple. Each addressing the 7 swaras of music' Sa, Ri, Ga, Ma, Pa, Da, Ni, Sa'. The eighth one is Om, as it is the main sound.
On the Vinayaka Chaturthi day, the beams of the Sun fall straightforwardly on the primary divinity, Lord Ananda Vinayaka. This is considered promising by the devotees. It is believed that People who implore here to be get rid of the Navagraha Dosham. Also, devotees are allowed to light Camphor directly to Vinayagar as a token of their devotion.
History :
The temple's history is tracing all the way back to the 1970s, well known for the ancestor worship or Pithru Pooja being held each day. It is a significant ritual performed on a regular schedule wherein the priests make the contribution at the Anandavinayaka's venerated image.
He takes it to the sanctum of Lord Vishnu and afterward to Lord Shiva's sanctum where it is framed as Pindam. This is then taken to the Shrine of God Sun lastly offered to the crows.
It is believed that ShukaBrahma Maharishi blessed Markandeya for long life. This scene was portrayed in the outer wall of the Vishnu sanctum.
Worships and Offerings:
As there are two devas, Lord Hanuman and Lord Vinayaka in the Adhyantha Prabhu Vigraha, Nine Tulsi leaves and 9 Erukkan blossoms are blended and offered to the joint type of Lord Ganesha and Lord Hanuman. An aarathi is compulsory after this contribution.
The most important festivals celebrated in this temple are Vinayaka Chathurthi and Hanuman Jayanthi in the long stretch of Dhanur.
