What has meditation got to do with our materialistic life ? We all know saints and other rishis and munis of our country did meditate for spiritual purposes and self- realization. But why do we need to meditate when our priority is to buy a flat and a car?


Let's first get to know what is meditation.It is the art of calming down the mind and  gradually trying to focus the mind on a particular thought.When we master the art, it helps us in achieving our mundane goals and priorities too. When we meditate even for the first time for about twenty minutes, there is a decrease in beta waves.There is a decrease in processing of information in our brain.Which means there is less tension in our brain and it reduces anxiety.   • Sit steady with erect body.

  • Then gradually concentrate on any particular thought or your breathe.
