Shukabrahma Maharishi | Parrot Head Sage | Son of Vyasa

SUKABRAHMA MAHARISHI

The Great Sage Shuka, son of Veda Vyasa, was a Brahmagnani by birth and refrained from all earthly desires. The word Shuka implies Parrot. The Shuka Maharshi was extremely attractive and his voice goes pleasantly from his lips, consequently, the name was exceptionally proper. It says that Sri Krishna named him Sukabrahmam for his insight in Yogavidya even while he was in the womb. Sukabrahma Maharishi is specialist in all Vedas. He incarnated himself with the heavenly light of  Vedas as his tongue. Vedas are his wings. Appealing to God for 'gnana' (intelligence) despite the fact that he was at that point a 'gnani,' he bathed in the Jataa Theertham in Rameswaram, where our favored Lord Shri Ram Himself had bathed and he exhibited humbleness to other Siddhas and Maharishis.

He was consistently in pensive mind-set, and didn't know about the rest of the world, so he remained thigambara. He was an Avadhuta who doesn't remain at any place more than few days. Shuka is considered as a very wise individual and his name is checked along with 11 other most astute individuals: Bhisma, Narada, Subramanya, Janaka, Bali, Yama, Manu, Kabila, Brahma, Siva and Prahlada

HIS INSIGHTS:

Shukabrahma Maharishi instructs us that God lives as the 'Atma (soul) in everybody and in everything – from seemingly insignificant details like saplings, little animals, for example, worms and creepy crawlies to greater creatures like elephants, trees and in lifeless things like slopes and mountains as well.

BHAGAVATAM :

Shuka Maharishi is the narrator of Bhagavata Purana to King Parikshit who is in his death bed.
While King Parikshith was under the shadow of death as a result of a sin committed by him and the revile that followed the demonstration, Shuka Maharshi, the eminent Sage showed up at the royal residence to the karma of King. In a ceaseless seven days' talk, Shuka justified the lord with Atmagnana via a few anecdotes about Vishnu and Sri Krishna that he gained from his father Vyasa.

LIFE JOURNEY:

Shuka is persuaded by Janaka to follow the Grahasthashrama custom and gets back to wed ideal woman named Pivari and follow the way of yoga. He has five kids, four children and a girl. He paved a path to the followers by his way of living and attained moksha. A place called Shukachari is accepted to be the cavern of Shuka, where he vanished in caves according to the Puranas. As Shuka implies Parrot, this place is literally meant to be the abode of parrots.

 OM SRI SUKHABRAHMANE NAMAHA!!!
