She is also connected with Lord Bhairava, and she has a variation structure, to be specific Atharvana-Rudra-Kali. This Goddess is a symbol of Victory. One who wants to defeats his enemy would offer their prayers here. There are 8 bairavas around Goddess Sanctum and considered to be as protecting Goddess Soolini.

History/Story of the Temple

When Lord Vishnu took Narasimha avatar to kill Hirayankaship, father of Prahalada, his anger was not haltered which brought panic to devas. To bring back the peace in him, God Shiva took an Avatar of Sarabeshwarar (Saraba Pakshi) having Lion's face and Eagle's wings. Having  Sri Pratyangara Devi and Sri Soolini Durga on either side of his wings, he protected the world from Narasimha's anger and restored peace.

Yet, this was not the end. After Lord Shiva (Sarabeshwarar) restrained Lord Narsimha, couldn't withholding the state of anger, Lord Vishnu again took the form of the brutal Gandaberunda bird-creature to battle Lord Shiva, Sarabeshwara the super force. The Linga Purana and Sharabha Upanishad likewise notice this mutilation of Narasimha and Gandaberuda. Gandaberuda having two heads, columns of teeth, dark in appearance, and wide wings. The dangerous energy of Narasimha as Gandaberuda (Vishnu) in the type of two-headed bird started to battle wildly with Lord Sarabeshwarar (Lord Shiva) for eighteen days.

After a particularly furious battle, Lord Vishnu as Gandaberuda bowed to Lord Shiva and halted the battle and Lord Sharbha ( Lord Shiva) destroyed the two-headed bird Gandaberuda.

Lord Vishnu worshipped Lord Shiva and bowed to him and showed his peace. Lastly, Lord Shiva and Lord Vishnu changed back in their own forms. The motivation behind Lord Shiva as Sarabeshwarar was to guarantee that the lion assemblage of Vishnu was disposed of and he got joined with his unique heavenly structure. These all took place the alongside powers of Sri Pratyangara Devi and Sri Soolini Durga.
