Festivals Celebrated in Sri Raja Mari Amman Temple

·       Poochattu Vizhha is considered as the main celebration in Sri Raja Mari Amman Temple, for which devotees gather from around 8 villages. This festival is 15 days long that takes place during the Thai month (January – February). These villagers praise Mother Rajamari Amman as their Kuladevatha.

·       On Fridays during the Rahukalam time poojas are performed to Badra Kali Amman who has a separate shrine in the temple.

·       Mothers Parvathi, Durga and Mahalakshmi and Saptha Kannikas are present in the prakara shrines.

·       On new moon days and on Tuesdays poojas are constantly performed in the temple.

·       In the Aadi month (July – August)  Fridays are also festive days.
