History of the Temple:

Javagal in Karnataka is well known for the propitious Lakshmi Narashima Temple. This temple was built in the mid 13th century. The Hoysala architecture (Under the rule of Hoysala empire between the 11th and 14th century) is one of the well known works on this temple. Narashima is known initially as a “Great defender” who protects their devotees from evil. Every Narasimha temple provides a ‘Yantra Pendant’ with a symbol of lord Narasimha coming with the worshipers everywhere they go. This depicts a powerful medium of peace, victory and contemplation. It helps bless their devotees with good pinkish health and focus on their life optimistically without any diversions. There is a myth believed strongly among the devotees that when lord Narashima gets angry, he uses his sharp fingernails as weapons, to punish his devotees under the column sin.

It is located in Javagal about 20 km North-east from Halebid and 50 km from Hassan city, Karnataka. They best depict a rich cultural legacy. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is even almost 1000 years of constructional functional anticipation. Its peaceful incarnation brings a big source of positive energy.
