Sreepeedam temple :

Sreepeedam temple is located at Sembakkam, around 50 km from Chennai, on the Chennai-Thiruporur-Chengalpet route. (From Chennai to Thiruporur, the distance is 43 km; From Thiruporur to Temple 7 km; and from Chengalpet to sanctuary 27 km.)

Sreepeedam is the seat of Sree Maha Lalitha Tripurasundari. This unequaled, Unparalleled seat of Sree Matha is the left hack of her Spouse and Guru Sree Maha Sadhasivar. This is the Peedam or seat from where Sree Matha secures and Blesses all the universe. The lap of Sree Swami is the imperceptible energy that the heavenly mother will play out all her Leela (play).

Sreepeedam Sri Bala Sansthan, Sri Chakra Raja Poorna Mahameru Thirusaanithanam is situated close to Arulmigu Azhagambigai Samedha Jamabugeswarar Temple which is also called Vada Thiruvannikka(Navai Vanam) at Sembakkam. At Sreepeedam Sree Shakti Manifests herself in Three Forms specifically,

  • Sree Balambikai(baby young lady),
  • Sree Taruni(Young Lady),
  • Sree Lalitha Tripurasundari (The Divine Mother).

Sree Chakram has been consecrated in the year 2008.

History:

Lord Shiva, out of empathy, has appeared as Ambika, playing with the spirits and gift them, and henceforth is known as Sree Lalitha Ambikai

She has introduced Herself as the Sree Nagara Samrajyadaayini in a Golden Chariot at Sreechakrarajasabhai at Sreepeetam, arranged in the second Aavarnam breaking point of Kanchipuram.

The god who is an exemplification of the three Moortis, Hari, Hara, and Ambika is made from a natural paste containing no hint of synthetic compounds. She has been made following many years, by the will Ambika and direction of sages, after parcel of exploration on Herbal Deities, sticking to Siddha techniques and doing subsequent to performing Kundamandala Yagas. The sacrosanct structure is implanted with Baanalingams, Saaligramams, Ambika's Sreechakrams, and Tripura chakrams. As she is made of pure herbs, she is called Oushadambigai.

Oushada Roopam :

Sree Lalitha Maha Tripurasundari, in Viswaroopa structure, nine feet tall, with Ankusham (Sree Ashvaroodam) and Paasham (Sree Sapathkari) in front arms, Panchabaanam (Sree Vaaraahi) and Sugarcane (Sree Maatangi) in her back arms, remaining in the sanctum sanctorum at the higher floor that is associated by the Thithinitya Devis as steps, benefits the fans.

As the Baanalingam is the Swayambhu for Shiva and the Saaligraamam is for Vishnu, so is the Sreechakram for Ambika. Like the Saubhaagya Sreechakram that was sanctified by Adishankara within the sight of the PeetavAsini of Kanchi, Goddess Kamakshi, the amazing god of the South, so likewise a Sreechakram, that has been honored by Seshadri Swamigal of Arunachala (Born in Kanchi, who was Abhirama Battar in His past birth) has been blessed in Sembakkam, otherwise called North Thiruvaanaika.
