this temple is Vruddhambikai, Balambikai – Ilaya Nayaki.

· 10 – day Brahmmotsavam with a huge crowd of devotees
gathering for a festival on the 09th day during Masi (February –
March).
· 10 – day Aadi pooram is celebrated especially for
Ambica along with flag hoisting and wedding festival.
· 10 – day Vaikasi Vasanth Utsav is celebrated during
the period May – June. Aani Thirumanjanam is celebrated in June – July.
· Arudra Darshan is celebrated in December – January.
Skanda Sashti and Soora Samharam happen during the months of October – November.
· Apart from these festivals, special abishek is done to
Peria Nayakar who’s the procession deity and this is done on Poornima – Full moon
day.
· During Poornima (Full moon) and Amavasya (New moon)
days the temple is crowded with devotees.
Prayers and Thanks Giving by the Devotees
Devotees visit Sri Viruthagirishwarar temple to attain mental peace and to cure ailments. People also pray for wedding boon and child boon. During Rahukalam time on Sundays, people offer Vada Mala to Lord Bhairava. Devotees offer vastras and perform abishek to the Lord. To Mother Ambika turmeric abishek is done and sarees are offered.
